A week of final preparations, both for our Spring Members Open Day and for Militracks 2026.

Final parts are being fitted ahead of Militracks: the aerial cable (reproduction) and the radio socket (original).
We’ve also been preparing to paint the Dunkelbraun camouflage and the Balkenkreuz. A lot of research has gone into making sure we get both right – the painting starts Monday.
JAGDPANTHER
The magneto issues continue. Martin and Steve have been investigating, and it now appears both magnetos are causing problems. Work continues.
SPRING MEMBERS OPEN DAY
We ended the week with a very successful Members Open Day on Friday. We tried a new format, which members seemed to appreciate, and a highlight was the opportunity to be hands-on and start the Sturmgeschütz III themselves using the inertia starter.
We’ll be announcing our next Open Day very soon.
RESEARCH UPDATE
This week, we released more findings on the Balkenkreuz, specifically, how the specifications changed after only three months of use, at the end of October 1939.
