Work on the chassis of the 4 Serie Sd.Kfz.223 continues. The rear wheel stations are now fully fitted. The front two are incomplete and are posing problems. One of these will be completed today. The main focus of this week was the lubrication line fitting into the chassis. The material for the lubrication pipes is different to that used on the 3 Serie Sd.Kfz.223 and will be covered in a forthcoming Inside Track piece.
Research into the final camouflage finish of the SARC Marmon Herrington Mk III Middle Eastern M.E variant have concluded and are all covered in Inside Track with the final piece on the subject (for now) this week.
Foot pedals are being brought together for the 5 Serie Sd.Kfz.261. These were missing from our Sd.Kfz.261 chassis and are quite different from the Ausf.A series of armoured cars. We will have a complete set of these for the armoured car next week.
