This extra time to allow for the auto electrician to show up has given us a welcome opportunity to complete a great deal of the small tasks outstanding. The various king pin caps (8 per vehicle) have been made using a good original example we had as a proof. The caps required for the Sd.Kfz.222 4.Serie are now complete save for the final weld line on 5 of them.
The external fire extinguisher required for all of the Ausf.A le.P.z.Sp.Wg. is almost complete. We have had to fit original handles and pressure valves to the original large extinguisher we have, the correct hand wheel is being fashioned as we speak.
A major announcement for the Australian LP1 carrier project is to be made during the course of next week. We have some very good news for this project…A good network of Australians is emerging who we will work with to ensure an accurate end result.
The radio straps for the Sd.Kfz.223 projects is under way. These have been very tricky to locate especially those in good condition. We do however now have sufficient components to complete the fixing straps for the Sd.Kfz.223 of the early design for the years considered of 1939. Very exciting.
The fixing straps/ belts for the 2cm ammunition boxes for the interior of the Sd.Kfz.222 4.Serie are now also complete save for the example in the smaller frame behind the driver.
Have a good weekend.
