Jagdpanther 411 fires up, TWC Sd.Kfz.223 leaps ahead

New batteries installed in the engine bay of Jagdpanther 411. The last set had died due to a malfunction of the trickle charge set up. They were not old but would not accept a charge. Discussions this week on the path she will take for the Open Day. The steering mechanisms will be tweaked next week and the carburettors will also receive some attention.

The Sd.Kfz.223 of the TWC has received a lot of attention this week. Both rear fenders are now fitted, both anti slip strips have been rivetted in place on the top of the fenders. The later large stowage bin has also been fitted. The other small stowage bin has been fitted to the right hand door – both are now in place. The semaphore guards are being completed for this vehicle. Old tabs have been removed cleaned and the broken off bolts removed to take the new frames. The tabs now refitted to the hull allowing the newly made Winkerschutz semaphore guards to be bolted back in place.

The guest bathrooms are moving on. Doors are now in place and the fittings are being tended to currently. Water is back on.

A very important new acquisition was made last week for our Sd.Kfz.223 3.Serie. This will be revealed in a dedicated Inside Track article on the subject shortly.

Have a good weekend!
