Intense work on the Sockel gun mount for the Sd.Kfz.222. All of the many original components being restored and recovered are to being prepared for assembly of the Sockel. The co axial M.G mount is being restored. This is very laborious work and will continue to take much of the team’s time. The MG Gurtkasten holders have been proof fitted to the original Gurtkasten we have for the armoured car.
We secured a good grouping of manuals to cover the later book end for our L.P.1 Carrier M.G. (Aust) or the LP1 as it is known colloquially. Earlier original examples are also being sought for the project.
Renault FT and TSF were moved back to their normal location. New climate control fittings were installed in the archive and library.
