Sd.Kfz. 222 4.Serie, Sd.Kfz 223 4.Serie, Jagdpanther 411

We hosted the historian James Holland here at the Foundation early in the week. The focus of him and his production crew was on the Jagdpanther. This involved taking the Jagdpanther out for a photoshoot and interviews commentary etc. The monthly maintenance was brought forward as a result. All worked very well with the exception of regular intervention by Fred the young bull and the Ridgeback attempting to control the drone attack by leaping in the air.

The angled steering box of the Sd.Kfz.223 4.Serie chassis was fitted with an original cap. Split pins were fitted to the areas requiring this attention. Final paint was applied to the areas that needed addressing given the good weather and resultant sunlight.

The Radpanzer were fitted to the Sd.Kfz.222 4.Serie wheel hubs together with the Ventilschutz. This weeks Inside Track covers the detail behind the Radpanzer required for the Sd.Kfz.223 3.Serie and the later Sd.Kfz. 222 4.Serie.
