Sd.Kfz.222 4 Serie vs Sd.Kfz.223 4 Serie, Sd.Kfz.223 3 Serie

The drive shafts are now complete for the Sd.Kfz.223 4 Serie. These now require comprehensive cleaning to remove any oil residue prior to priming and top coat and fitting. The cylinder heads are now all fitted for the Sd.Kfz.222 4 Serie after we took delivery of the gaskets.

Research this week covered the straps used by the crew members of the Sd.Kfz.223 to fix the 30 watt and later 80 watt sender equipment in place. This will be written up in due in Inside Track our members only magazine.

The research to identify the correct oil filler neck for the Sd.Kfz.261 5 Serie 3.8 litre V8 engine has concluded. The results of which will be posted in Inside Track in due course.

Straps and retainer for the 600 watt dynamo for the 5 Serie Sd.Kfz.261 have been secured this week as have various additional suppression system items for the Sd.Kfz.223 3 Serie. These are unique to the our 3 Serie and will take some effort to fully resolve the gaps in parts required.

We took delivery of the filler caps and necks for the radiators and fuel tanks we are working on for all four le.Pz.Sp.Wg. Brass for the radiators and steel for the fuel tanks. See main image of some of these newly spun arrivals.
