This week saw the chains, shackles and pins finished for the Renault FT and TSF. The next phase of fabrication started for the remaining fuel can for the cabin. This is made of tin. The drawings for the final drive assembly have been completed to ensure a machine fit between the suspension beams, sprocket wheels and the final drive gears. Further breakthroughs were achieved with our understanding of how the chains for the shackles and pins were configured during WW1. these proved different to those of the post war era. Our camera kit was upgraded so everyone can now expect better images of the work. Our official photographer has sent us his completed images taken here a week ago. These will be released on to our web site over time as have happened with previous sessions. Become a Member to see these and Inside Track articles on the above and much more.
