Sd.Kfz 223 3.Serie, Indian (New Zealand) Pattern Carrier, Jagdpanther

The Sd.Kfz 223 chassis has been painted and is now being assembled. The front half of the suspension has been fitted. The rear section needs more attention as the fitting (bock) which joins the upper wishbone to the chassis was bent so we extracted another from our stores and are stripping this presently to be pressed in s a replacement. The gearbox reassembly is nearing completion. Some oil pump parts will need to be replaced using spares in our stores. The visors are still be attended to. Small parts are being made to replace very corroded items.

The Jagdpanther panel sections that are required for the reassembly of the second hull have been priced. Next step water jet cutting pricing of the sections of the panels that need to be replaced.

We collected all the small (not so small) parts today for the New Zealand Pattern Wheeled Carrier to clear the two complete chassis ready for collection next week. There are a great quantity of parts which have now been put into our stores.
