A stressful week before and after our trip to France with the Renault FT. The FT had a spectacular showing on the battlefield of 2nd Battle of the Marne. A century ago in 1918, 350 of these plucky tanks turned out alongside French and US forces to attack the German salient in a battle which ended in defeat for the Germans facing them. The event was organised by the British Army in which staff officers of all the NATO and other participants attended battlefield lectures.
