We really value your support during these trying times. Everyone has had a difficult 2020, some worse than others, and we have tried to make a difference within the circumstances. The ongoing extensive research, the articles, many of which are completed over many weeks, as the information or detail is confirmed, prior to publishing. We hope you have had enough detail from us on the state of play with the Weald Foundation, the individual projects be they the Sd.Kfz.222 4 Serie, Sd.Kfz.223 3 Serie or preparation for new projects such as the SARC Marmon Herrington III, the Pak 43 and Department of Corrections issues. We are concerned that focus at the 5mm level in our articles can be a cure for insomnia. We are also aware that a singular focus on one or two projects may inadvertently miss the area of your interest. We have attempted to vary our research and articles where possible while not missing particular insights or discoveries as they are made. To this end we would very much like to hear from you on subjects you would like examined and covered. Please could you submit your ideas to mail@wealdfoundation.org so that we may be able to take the relevant next steps. Thank you. Apologies for the problems experienced by some of you over the tech upgrade to our membership system. These problems persisted for some of you and we hope that you are now happy with the end result. Please let us know if any of you have experienced other problems subsequently. Lastly, we apologise for not having being able to host you all here at the Weald Foundation premises over the past year. A lot has been achieved since the beginning of the year despite COVID 19. Our new Fabrication Centre and separate Assembly and Machining Centre have been established. COVID 19 provided the impetus for an idea that had been mooted for a long time to have separate workshops. There is much to be done within these two new centres which will take place early next year in readiness for the lifting of restrictions at some point. Our library requires a major facelift – carpeting, new bookshelves from our cabinet maker and all of our deactivated weapons will at last have their own purpose-built home – away from the library! Our new display hall is now in use but requires internal completion to facilitate climatic control and the ability to show off all of the Foundation vehicles displayed there – wiring, lighting, stud walling etc. Thank you once again for your support.
