Members, this event is almost full. Only 9 more places are available. This is your last chance..... . We are delighted to announce the next Weald Foundation members event !!. All members are invited to attend the inaugural Weald Foundation SITREP event featuring our German armoured car project. Members and guests are invited to immerse themselves in the Foundation's current restoration and research project - our unique leichte Panzer Spähwagen (4-Rad) projects - including the Sd.Kfz.261, Sd.Kfz.223 and Sd.Kfz.222. The only such project in the world where 4 of these iconic machines are being brought back to life and restored at the same time. The engineering team will be available to consult on these interesting restorations in the workshops. Two formal presentations will take place in our audio-visual room. • Hilary Louis Doyle (Weald Foundation trustee and Panzer Tracts author) will discuss the latest research findings on the wartime design, development, use and production of leichte Panzer Spähwagen. • Michael Gibb of the Weald Foundation will cover the restoration project and research of the three armoured cars Sd.Kfz.261, Sd.Kfz.223 and Sd.Kfz.222. Coffee, tea and pastries will be provided on arrival at 9.30am. SITREP activities will start at 10:00 and close at 14:00 sharp. Members must register early. Guests of members are welcome but will only able to attend if spaces are available. Tickets for guests of members must be purchased in advance and cost £20. Children under the age of 12 are without charge but are the sole responsibility of the parent / guardian. All available places must be filled by October 1st. . Saturday Oct 12th 2019. Refreshments at 9.30am for a 10am start. Tea break at 12 noon. Event closes at 2pm. Spaces are limited!. Attendance to this event is part of your annual Membership Benefits but must be booked in advance.
